Hi!  I'm Leigh!   I'm a 42 year old mom of two amazing children, ages 5 and 7 and an ACE Certified Personal Trainer, Precision Nutrition Certified Coach, and Fitness Nutrition Specialist.

I had our daughter Aspen (now 7) when my husband was deployed to Iraq.  She was so colicky that it basically ended my days of training in the big box gyms (for a while).  I quickly realized that I needed to rethink my strategies on how to train more efficiently in the least amount of time as she would nap for only 30 minutes at a time.

I developed a series of workouts that women could do at home with little to no equipment and was ready to release when AHA!  We found out Austin was on the way.

After Austin, I thought WOW, I REALLY need to rethink my strategies because this is getting exponentially more difficult.

So after a lot of conversations with fellow moms, training women, running bootcamps, and counseling clients, I started focusing on "How can you get the maximum amount of results in the least amount of time safely"  How can we be more efficient so that exercise and nutrition doesn't overtake their lives - particularly for clients that aren't in love with workouts and traditional "dieting concepts" and have minimum time to throw at this.

I absolutely love working with clients!   I work with clients interested in

  • general fitness conditioning,
  • sport conditioning,
  • weight loss, and maximizing their health through the combination of solid nutrition and physical activity.

I use a variety of equipment for training clients including:

  • Bodyweight exercises
  • Kettlebells
  • Barbell
  • TRX
  • Resistance Bands
  • Fitness Hoop

Wonder how I got started hooping?  Well, as a kiddo, I trained in rythmic gymnastics.  I was lucky enough to earn a spot at the Olympic Training Center and after a good run, decided that I wanted to do other things.  So I put my hoop up....for 25 years.  One day Aspen and I were on our way to the park and I saw a woman performing hoop dance.  It was so beautiful I immediately fell in love.  I started hooping at night after the kids went to bed as a way to unwind and meditate. It really is like moving meditation!

I spent so much time outside hooping that I became known as the crazy hoop lady on my street.  But I was constantly finding ways to combine hooping with traditional training methodology to maximize results, and Voila!  Hoop Fitness was born.

To your health and happiness!
